题材是《逆袭的夏亚》，CG 来自 98 年的同名游戏，之所以选这个，明年的高达次回作是“UC”，时间线是在逆袭之后的。

アニメ作品「機動戦士ガンダム」シリーズの最新作「機動戦士ガンダムUC(ユニコーン)」の公開時期や方法が決定した。

まず2010年2月20日より東京、大阪、名古屋、福岡、札幌の一部の劇場で2週間、イベント上映という形で公開。
また、同日よりソニーコンピュータエンタテインメントが運営するPlayStationStoreにてネットワーク配信を実施。
その後、3月12日よりブルーレイディスク、及びDVDで販売される。
ブルーレイディスクには日本語音声のほか、英語吹き替え音声や日本語、英語、フランス語、スペイン語、中国語の字幕を収録。DVDには日本語音声と日本語、英語の字幕を収録。
